Loomo the great assessor!

Debbie Grace

I really enjoyed myself today working with Mo and his student. My job was to watch and record the student doing a task in the plumbing workshop. As I am a bit short, I also had a 360 camera attached to me which was recording too. Mo attached the camera using pipes and cable ties - just like the old days apparently! I don't think Mo has viewed the footage yet, although he has looked at footage from the 360 camera and he says it does wobble a bit when I move. Even us robots can't keep perfectly still when wandering around a workshop! He did say though that when I was stationary, there wasn't a problem at all with the video. It looked very clear and gave a good overview of the workshop, as well as focusing well on the student. I can't wait for Mo to look at my footage, I bet it's great :)

Here I am, just checking Mo is OK and practising using the 360 camera. This is a snapshot taken from the video footage, which gives a really good overall perspective of what we could all see on the day.

And here's another snapshot showing Mo and his student getting the equipment ready. I think I would make a good assessor - I can follow a student around, take some video and photos to pass on to the teacher, although I think I might get a bit tired and may need a rest from time to time to recharge my batteries!

As an added bonus I met Charlotte from Animal Care. She really liked me and said I could follow around the dogs that come in for dog grooming. She said I would be really good for checking their gait. I really hope I get to work with lots of different people and animals when term starts again in September #superassessor #assessorrobot #fabrobot #loveloomo
